The next phase of works continued throughout 2021 at one of our larger projects in Wiltshire. Tasks included dredging one of the main lakes and renovating the surrounding flora. Repairing and improving the weir that controls the lake. Part of the lake edge was re-profiled to accommodate a new jetty for natural swimming access. Further downstream we dredged the canal. Here we rebuilt the edge of the canal using “Rock roll” a modular stone system, re-profiling the soil to increase the level slightly. The top half was re-turfed and the bottom half will be planted at a later date with marginal plants. The Ha Ha that forms the back of the canal was also renovated. Additionally, we installed new estate fencing and gates in the field side of the property. The wider estate we planted more new trees, which included Oak and other native species.
